Skindful ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the Skindful mobile application (the "App") handles information. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
Summary
Skindful is designed to work almost entirely on your device. We do not require an account, we do not ask for your name or email, and we do not sell your data. Ingredient analysis happens locally on your device.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit:

• Your name, email address, phone number, or contact details

• Your location

• Photos or images from your device (camera scans are processed on-device and are not uploaded or stored by us)

• Any health information you review in the App

Ingredient lists you scan or paste are analyzed locally on your device and are not sent to our servers.
Information Processed by Third-Party Services
Barcode lookups. When you scan a product barcode, the App may send the barcode number to Open Beauty Facts (openbeautyfacts.org), a public open database, to retrieve product information. Only the barcode number is sent. No personal information is shared. Open Beauty Facts has its own privacy practices, available on their website.
Subscriptions and purchases. Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment information. Apple handles all billing under Apple's Privacy Policy. We receive only anonymous, aggregate information about purchases (for example, whether a subscription is active) through Apple's system.
Apple diagnostics. Apple may collect standard app usage and crash diagnostics under its own policies. You can control this in your device settings.
Camera Access
The App requests camera access solely to scan product labels and barcodes. Images captured by the camera are processed on your device to read text and are not stored, uploaded, or shared by us.
Children's Privacy
Skindful is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Medical Disclaimer
Skindful provides general informational guidance about cosmetic ingredients and is not medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider regarding pregnancy, breastfeeding, or any health concern.
Data Retention
Because we do not collect personal data on our servers, there is no personal data for us to retain or delete. Any preferences (such as your remaining free scans) are stored locally on your device and are removed if you delete the App.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
